>Environmental Compliance Engineer <br>
>Job description:<br>
>l Download BOM from Microsoft’s system Agile and Teamcenter;<br>l Check for
presence of parts in Teamcenter Environmental Compliance (TcEC);
>l Generate requests for IPC 1752 forms (full material declaration) from
suppliers through TcEC;<br>l Push vendors to provide us with valid IPC 1752
forms and supporting documents (e.g., test reports, safety data sheets (SDS));
>l Understand and review various testing reports issued by different Microsoft
approved laboratories;<br>l Visit vendors to train them against environmental
compliance in need;
>l Assist Environmental Compliance PM and Redmond team to handle some issues
in need.<br>l Serve as the contact for environmental compliance questions from
MSKK. Maintain capability to conduct communication in Japanese
>l Coordinate with Redmond on responses <br>Requirements:
>l Majored in Chemistry or relevant discipline;<br>l Good Japanese and English
skills in both writing and reading;
>l Be good at operating XRF equipment to screen Microsoft hardware products;
be familiar with other analysis equipments such as ICP, GC-MS and UV-Vis etc.
Be able to send samples to Microsoft approved laboratories for follow-up wet
chemistry testing as needed to resolve questions raised by XRF analysis;<br>l
Be able to understand and review various testing reports issued by different
Microsoft approved laboratories, such as RoHS testing report, toys testing
report and other environmental testing reports;
>l Good knowledge of restricted substance requirements such as EU RoHS, China
MM, J-MOSS, EU battery directive, REACH, WEEE and others;<br>l Details
oriented, penetrative, keen, patient, independent, and cooperative;
>l Be pro-active, accountability, team work spirit;<br>l Knowledge of
electronic products background preferred.
