><br>The Visual Studio Professional Tools team in China is a significant
contributor to the development and release of features for the Visual Studio
family of products. We deliver rich toolsets that allow developers around the
world to fully leverage the Microsoft platforms.

>The products and technologies we enable include the .NET Framework,
Silverlight, RIA Services, SharePoint, SQL Server, and many more. This is a
great opportunity to work with many of the latest developer technologies,
influence their designs and drive adoption.<br>

>In addition, this role contributes to the execution of the China outsourcing
efforts for the Developer Division. You will help strategize the significant
investment by the division and look for ways to better execute and invest our
resources. This aspect has high visibility both within and outside the
division.<br>

>The job<br>

>We are looking for a dedicated, engaging leader to manage one of our test
teams. As a Lead SDET on our team, your role will include:<br>coaching,
leading and growing a solid group of SDETs; participating in the product
design and the definition of user scenarios; collaborating with Program
Management and developers in an agile environment; ensuring all aspects of
delivering a quality product are achieved in your feature crew; developing a
solid test frameworks and tools through leadership or hands-on contributions;
ensuring quality test plans and automation; providing ongoing quality metrics
for features; engaging with customers through various channels; contributing
to the team’s engineering processes; championing innovation and continuous
improvement; driving/contributing to cross-team efforts in DevDiv China and/or
STBC.

><br>- 5+ years experience in shipping high quality software,

>- Experience managing a test team highly preferable, but not required,<br>-
Proven ability to ship software on time and at quality expected,

>- Experience developing solid, maintainable test cases,<br>- Solid knowledge
of testing methods, tools and automation frameworks,

>- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated cross group
experience,<br>- A desire to work closely with the other disciplines in all
aspects of the product lifecycle,

>- Completed at least one full product development lifecycle,<br>- A BS degree
in computer science or equivalent,

>- Experience with Agile methodologies such as TDD and Scrum desirable.<br>-
Ability to strategize and communicate outsourcing as an effective resource
allocation.

>- Experience with outsourcing is preferable, but not required.<font>
