>The position<br>
>We are looking for a talented SDE Lead with great leadership skills, a
passion for agility, quality, efficiency, and the desire and ability to learn
new techniques and drive innovation. We invite you to build and lead a
dedicated team of high-caliber individuals to deliver transformative
technology across both Developed and Emerging markets. Specifically, this
person will work on the Project A:<br>
>Project A: Built on top of SharePoint 14, Project A is Microsoft’s combined
server, client and SAAS technology initiative designed to bring transformative
change to institutionally delivered education. With Project A, educators can
deliver purposeful learning experiences, institutional administrators can have
real-time visibility on critical metrics, and students can access tools to
help them reach their full potential.<br>
>The candidate<br>
>The primary responsibilities include: <br>
> Recruiting, building, mentoring and maintaining a high performance team.<br>
> Working closely with others in Program Management and Test, both in China
R&D (CRD) and Redmond.<br>
> Driving sound architecture, design, and implementations.<br>
> Ensuring designs and implementations meet quality, performance, scale, and
manageability requirements as well as managing cross team dependencies.<br>
> Initiating, promoting and implementing engineering best practice. Working on
project planning and tracking for your team.<br>
> Providing technical and career guidance and mentorship to SDEs.<br>
><br>
>As a successful candidate, <br>
> You have strong technical and management background, including 5+ years of
software development experience and 1+ year lead role.<br>
> You should demonstrate success and proven track record in building and
leading a strong development team, mentoring, delivering excellence in code
quality and engineering process. <br>
> You must be a respected development leader with a proven track record of
shipping products through 2+ product cycles while dealing with challenges such
as cross-team dependencies, rapid shipping schedules, being able to analyze
diverse requirements and make recommendations as to implementation strategies
and estimate development costs. <br>
> You must have strong communication skills (verbal and written). <br>
> You should also have solid fundamental Computer Science skills and have a
passion for cutting-edge technologies. <br>
> You need to be proficient in at least two of the following: C#C++, ASP.net,
JScript/Javascript, AJAX, Web Service/SOAP, WPF, Server application and Web
protocols, Multimedia and graphics technologies, SQL and database
technologies.
><br> A BS in Computer Science or Engineering, or equivalent is required.
Travel to Redmond may be required.
