Job Description

**This position is located in Beijing, China.**

### The area: Webmaster

Webmaster Google's Webmasters develop and maintain Google's global Web sites,
which are seen by millions of users everyday. We balance our technical and
design skills to create clean, effective Web pages, automation tools and
graphical illustrations for product launches and marketing initiatives.

### The role: Webmaster

As a Webmaster, you will collaborate with Marketing and Engineering teams to
develop and maintain Google's Web sites. Your web development skills along
with your strong sense of clean design will contribute to creating compelling
and efficient web pages. You will work independently, but also take direction
in a team-based environment. You are an individual with a well-rounded skill
set including strong HTML abilities, design skills, technical savvy, great
attention to detail, and proven expertise in web development.

#### Responsibilities:

* Designing and quickly implementing clear, effective web pages.

* Developing and day-to-day maintenance of web content.

* Synthesizing feedback from multiple sources.

* Fulfilling several project requests simultaneously while meeting tight
deadlines.

* Creating and optimizing web images for download efficiency and clean
design.

#### Requirements:

* BA/BS or equivalent.

* Strong HTML, CSS, and JavaScript skills with solid knowledge of usability,
accessibility and cross browser issues.

* Experience with Python, Django, and App Engine a plus.

* Experience designing, implementing and maintaining websites (portfolio
required) with a strong knowledge of graphic creation, editing, and
optimization.

* Excellent attention to detail, keen eye for clean UI implementation, and
knowledge of coding and design best practices.

* Fluent in both Chinese and English

* Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
