then the TSP-Office Client role is the right place for you!

><br>The TSP-Office Client (Technical Sales Professional) is responsible for
delivering business and revenue results thru providing technical assistance in
the Microsoft Office Groove platform and Office Client pre-sales process (as
well as post-sales when needed). This role is also responsible for driving
Microsoft’s deployment strategy for Microsoft Office and in articulating the
business and technical value of these deployment tools and methodologies for
the for Microsoft Office System in large organizations. Additionally, the role
is focused on helping customers adopt the strategic Open XML file format as a
standard. This includes building architectural strategies, achieving buy-in
for identified solution areas, discussion and delivery of technical documents
and partnering with internal and external stakeholders for success. You will
work closely with our Corporate Account Teams including the Business
Productivity Solution Specialist (SSP-BP) and TSP-SharePoint in the decision
making process on what the account strategy should be based on the specific
business requirements and assist in the technical deliverables needed to win
each opportunity.

><br>With the introduction of the new Office System 2010 platform in 2010, you
will be able to claim on your resume that you were instrumental in driving the
adoption of this new Office platform and in helping Microsoft launch one of
IW’s most strategic new growth products. You were responsible for getting Open
XML file format adopted as a standard in your region. You were responsible for
getting your team and customers to use the rich set of deployment tools for
Office 2007/2010 System, to increase deployment of Office in your territory.
You were responsible for the Microsoft field being ready to sell and position
the Microsoft Office platform across your territory, and helped build one of
the strongest specialist communities at Microsoft!

><br>Key Responsibilities include the following:

>• Support pre-sales activities of the District team including demonstrations
of Microsoft Office 2007 and the future Microsoft Office 2010, participation
in Office System Overview presentations, and conducting all aspects of pre-
sales technical work to drive revenue.<br>• Provide deep technical knowledge
to qualified sales opportunities. This includes: discussion of Office System
security; discussion of Office System architecture; discussion of Office
System network impact; discussion of technical aspects of the Microsoft Office
Groove platform, and some discussion of the Groove development environment.

>• Help manage initial trial usage of Office 2010 by qualified accounts and
help enroll customers into the Microsoft Office 2010 Beta and Rapid Deployment
Programs. This includes: provisioning Office System trial licenses; creation
of Office System joint Sales spaces to monitor activity; helping with any
installation problems; answering technical questions; providing help with any
support issues (i.e. liaison with Office support group); and some basic
training (usually virtual) with teams of people using Office Professional
Plus<br>• Product knowledge of Groove products, primarily Groove Virtual
Office and the Management and Relay Server. Candidate should also have some
knowledge of other Microsoft collaboration tools, including: SharePoint,
Office Communications Server and LiveMeeting.

>• Work with Microsoft counterparts to help educate them on Office Products,
positioning, and joint selling strategies.<br>• Provide expertise on the
business and technical value of Microsoft’s Open XML file format for our
Office Client products to customers, counterparts and partners.

>• Drive ISO Standard vote on Open XML file format for your territory<br>•
Drive the value of Office Professional Plus, demonstrating to customers and
counterparts the technical and business benefits of “stepping-up” from Office
Standard 2007 and from previous versions of Office

>• Provide technical knowledge to customers, counterparts and partners on the
deployment tools for Office 2007 and 2010 System<br>• Work with your Microsoft
counterparts to identify deployment opportunities of the Office 2007/2010
system

>• Contribute to the overall success of the Sales team as measured by quota
attainment against the FY10 Sales goal.<br>

>The ideal candidate has the following qualifications:<br>• BA/BS required
preferably in Computer Sciences or Technical area.

>• Has knowledge of deployment, best practices, migration tools for Office
2007<br>• Industry experience in IT; preferably related to collaboration and
portals solutions and ideally Groove.

>• Has knowledge of the Open XML file format capabilities across Office 2007
System Client products<br>• Has knowledge and expertise within sales technical
support disciplines as demonstrated by similar positions with a software
company as a Systems Engineer or similar role.

>• Demonstrates leadership and a high degree of Personal, self-motivated
drive, as well as high energy and passion for their work.<br>
