### The area: Marketing
The Google Marketing team is responsible for marketing the company's
exceptional product portfolio to end users, partners and customers on a
worldwide basis. Our approach is to embrace the strength of our products and

data-driven and respectful of our users as Google itself. We have a variety of
roles, including product marketing, creative services, event management,
quantitative marketing and field marketing.
### The role: Head of Marketing, Greater China
The Country Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting Google's revenue
generating efforts in the Greater China markets through effective and results-
focused marketing campaigns. Your key activities will include organizing,
negotiating and managing direct mail campaigns, partnership marketing and
affiliate programs, online/offline advertising campaigns, trade shows, Google
events and seminars.
#### Responsibilities:
* Develop, manage and implement the Greater China marketing plan, working
closely with the Google Product & Corporate Marketing teams and the Google
China Sales team.
* Contribute pro-actively to the overall development of Google through ideas
and creativity based in solid market and sector knowledge.
* Monitor consumer, industry and competitive behavior in the Greater China
market and provide local market expertise to the Google team.
* Implement marketing programs encompassing a combination of marketing
tactics including direct marketing, affiliate marketing, stand-alone events,
tradeshows and seminars, online/offline advertising and promotions.
* Source and analyze research material in specific industry categories as
needed, to provide statistical support for marketing and sales efforts in
general.
#### Requirements:
* BA/BS degree required or equivalent experience, MBA preferred, fluent in
English and Chinese.
* Significant marketing experience in the Greater China market ideally with
Internet, online services/media industry experience.
* Strong business-to-business and/or business to consumer marketing
experience with aptitude for determining the optimal way to position products
in the market in the search, online advertising, or web publishing markets.
* A proven, successful track record of increasing company revenue and
awareness through well-executed marketing efforts.
* Thorough knowledge of off/online advertising planning, tracking and
reporting.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills, project and budget
management and negotiation skills.
* Team player able to work on multi-part projects with multiple teams and
able to ensure that local and global project deadlines and budgets are met.
